Terms of Use

By creating an account, accessing, browsing, or otherwise using the Sutr Platform, you expressly agree to be bound by this Agreement and all applicable laws and regulations. This Agreement constitutes a legally binding electronic contract between you and Sutr.

By registering, you expressly consent to:

• The collection, storage, processing, use, and disclosure of your personal information including sensitive personal data, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
• Sutr using third-party tools, verification agencies, or sub-contractors to validate information you submit, including checks for criminal records or other adverse information, to protect the safety of other Members.
• Receiving communications via email, SMS, push notifications, and calls from Sutr in connection with your account, matches, and service updates.

To register as a Member and use the Sutr Platform, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age (female) or 21 years of age (male), as per the minimum legal marriageable age under Indian law.
• Be legally competent to enter into a binding contract under applicable law.
• Be an individual natural person — not a company, partnership, or any other legal entity.
• Be legally eligible to enter into matrimony under personal laws applicable to you.
• Not be subject to any court order or prohibition that restricts your ability to marry.

By registering, you represent and warrant that:

• All information you provide is true, accurate, current, and complete.
• You are registering with the genuine intention of seeking a matrimonial alliance, and not for casual dating, companionship, commercial solicitation, or any illegal or fraudulent purpose.
• The content and information you submit does not infringe any third-party rights and is not false, misleading, defamatory, obscene, or unlawful.

Sutr reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse, suspend, or terminate any membership if a Member is found ineligible or in breach of this Agreement, without refund of any subscription fees paid.

You are solely and exclusively responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials (username and password). All activities conducted under your account are deemed to have been performed by you.

You agree to:

• Create only one profile on the Platform. Multiple accounts for the same individual are strictly prohibited and may be deactivated without notice or refund.
• Immediately notify Sutr of any unauthorized access to or use of your account at hello@sutr.co.in.
• Not share your login credentials with any third party.

Sutr shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain the security of your account credentials.

Access to the Sutr Platform is available to registered Members. Sutr offers both free and premium membership tiers:

• Free Members enjoy basic access to browse profiles and receive match suggestions.
• Premium Members gain access to enhanced features including priority visibility in searches, expanded communication tools (messaging, chat), and additional profile promotion features.

The duration and features of any paid membership plan shall be as specified at the time of purchase. Upon expiry, memberships may be renewed subject to the fees and terms prevailing at that time.

In the event Sutr permanently ceases operations, Members shall be entitled to a refund of 50% of the unused portion of any paid membership fee, calculated on a pro-rata basis, subject to applicable law. No other liability shall arise from such discontinuation.

Sutr reserves the right to offer promotional benefits or third-party offers to Members from time to time, without sharing your personally identifiable information for such purposes except as provided in our Privacy Policy.

5.1 General Conduct

The Sutr Platform is intended strictly for serious matrimonial matchmaking. All Members are required to conduct themselves respectfully, honestly, and lawfully at all times.

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Using the Platform for casual dating, companionship, commercial solicitation, escort services, or any non-matrimonial purpose.
• Creating a profile on behalf of another person without their valid, documented consent.
• Posting false, misleading, or fabricated information in your profile or communications.
• Impersonating another person or entity.
• Using bots, scripts, crawlers, or automated tools to access or extract data from the Platform.
• Registering as an organization, company, or institution.
• Using the Platform to solicit money, financial assistance, or gifts from other Members.

5.2 Prohibited Content

Members must not post, share, or transmit any Content that:

• Is pornographic, sexually explicit, obscene, or indecent.
• Promotes racism, hatred, bigotry, or discrimination against any individual or group.
• Is defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, or abusive toward any person.
• Exploits, solicits information from, or depicts minors in any harmful or sexual context.
• Infringes any copyright, trademark, or intellectual property right.
• Contains viruses, malware, or any other harmful or disruptive code.
• Promotes or facilitates illegal activities, including weapons, drugs, or fraud.
• Threatens national security, public order, or sovereignty of India.
• Contains telephone numbers, personal addresses, email addresses, social media handles, or external URLs in publicly visible profile sections.

5.3 Communication Guidelines

Members are required to communicate respectfully and decently on all Platform features including chat, messaging, and live features. Harassment of any kind — including verbal, sexual, or psychological — is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate account termination.

Sutr reserves the right to monitor, screen, edit, or delete any message or Content it deems inappropriate, without notice to the sender. Sutr is not obligated to monitor all communications but reserves the right to do so.

To enhance trust and safety within the Sutr community, Members are strongly encouraged — and may be required — to submit government-issued identification (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, Driving Licence) and/or complete selfie verification.

Members are strongly advised to independently verify the authenticity and accuracy of any information provided by other Members — including those with verified status — before taking any decisions relating to matrimonial alliances.

Sutr grants you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to access and use the Platform solely for your personal matrimonial matchmaking purposes, in accordance with this Agreement.

You may not:

• Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or sublicense any part of the Platform or its content.
• Reproduce, republish, upload, or transmit any proprietary material from the Platform without prior written consent from Sutr.
• Use the Sutr name, logo, trademarks, or branding without explicit authorization.

Sutr owns all intellectual property rights in and to the Platform, including its design, software, algorithms, databases, and Content created by Sutr. All rights not expressly granted herein are reserved.

By submitting Content to the Platform (including profile information, photos, success stories, or testimonials), you grant Sutr a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, publish, adapt, and distribute such Content for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform and its Services.

Your use of the Sutr Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the Privacy Policy.

Sutr is committed to the responsible handling of your personal data in accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), and applicable international standards where relevant.

9.1 Age Restrictions

Sutr is strictly intended for adults. Minimum registration age is 18 years (female) and 21 years (male). Any account found to belong to a person below the minimum age will be immediately suspended or terminated without notice.

9.2 Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE)

Sutr maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy toward any content or activity that exploits, sexualizes, or endangers minors. We employ advanced technology and human moderation to detect and remove any such content immediately.

The following activities are strictly prohibited on the Platform:

• Soliciting, sharing, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form.
• Communicating with or grooming minors for any purpose.
• Sharing information that could identify, locate, or harm a child.

Sutr will cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies and statutory bodies — including the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) — in any investigation related to child safety.

9.3 Reporting Child Safety Concerns

If you suspect any child safety violation on the Platform, please report it immediately to hello@sutr.co.in. You may also report concerns to the NCPCR or your local police authority.

The Sutr Platform and all Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Sutr makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to:

• The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any Member's profile information.
• The suitability, character, or intentions of any other Member.
• Uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the Platform.
• Compatibility of the Service with your device or software.

Sutr is a matrimonial facilitation platform and does not act as a matchmaker, broker, or guarantor of any matrimonial outcome. The exchange of profiles via Sutr constitutes a facilitative introduction only. Sutr shall not be responsible for any consequences arising from interactions between Members, whether on or off the Platform.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Sutr, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, revenue, goodwill, or business opportunity.
• Personal injury, emotional distress, or reputational harm.
• Any loss arising from your reliance on another Member's profile, representation, or conduct.

In any event, Sutr's total cumulative liability to you for any and all claims shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to Sutr for the Services during the term of your paid membership immediately preceding the date of the claim.

This Agreement remains effective as long as you access or use the Platform. Sutr reserves the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause and without prior notice, including for:

• Breach of any provision of this Agreement.
• Misuse of the Platform for fraudulent, immoral, illegal, or non-matrimonial purposes.
• Conduct that is offensive, abusive, or harmful to other Members or Sutr's reputation.

Upon termination, you must immediately cease all use of the Platform. You will not be entitled to any refund of subscription fees if your account is terminated due to a breach of this Agreement.

Provisions of this Agreement that by their nature should survive termination — including Intellectual Property Rights, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Governing Law — shall remain in full force and effect after termination.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sutr, its parent company, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, and service providers from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of the Platform in violation of this Agreement.
• Any Content you post, share, or transmit through the Platform.
• Your breach of any representation, warranty, or obligation under this Agreement.
• Any fraud, negligence, or wilful misconduct on your part.

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with this Agreement or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts located in India.

Sutr is committed to cooperating with law enforcement authorities, including police, the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell, and other statutory bodies, in investigating and addressing fraudulent or unlawful activities on the Platform.

If you become aware of any content or activity that violates this Agreement or applicable law, or if you have any grievance related to the Platform, please contact our Grievance Officer at:

We will endeavour to resolve all grievances within 30 days of receipt. No legal proceedings shall be initiated unless a grievance has first been raised and a reasonable opportunity for resolution has been provided.

Sutr reserves the right to amend, modify, or update this Agreement at any time, at its sole discretion. Any material changes will be communicated to you through a prominent notice within the App or via your registered email or phone number.

Continued use of the Platform following notification of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Agreement.

This Agreement constitutes the complete and exclusive understanding between you and Sutr with respect to the Platform and supersedes all prior agreements and representations.

If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Sutr's failure to enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.

You may not assign or transfer your rights under this Agreement without Sutr's prior written consent.
